Reverse Osmosis
The phenomenon of osmosis is the passage of
a pure solvent into a solution separated from it
by a semi-permeable membrane, a membrane
permeable to the solvent but not to the solute.
Osmotic pressure is the pressure that must be
applied to the solution to stop the influx of the
solvent. If we subject the solution to a high
pressure exceeding the osmotic pressure of that
solution, pure solvent would pass through the
semi-permeable membrane back into solvent (pure
water). This is reverse osmosis.
Continuous Electro Deionisation Systems
Continuous electro Deionisation (CDI) is a
continuous process that uses ion exchange
membranes, resin and electricity. DC potential is the
driving force for removing ions from the feed stream
while continuously regenerating the resin pack.
Techniflo use the well-proven ion pure EDI modules
which, when used in an RO/CDI system, can produce
a water quality that exceeds 10megohm/cm.
