REVERSE OSMOSIS
News.- Customers can now benefit from a mobile test unit for ultra filtration and reverse osmosis for onsite evaluation and testing. Please contact the sales department for details.
Utilising the latest technologies in membrane design, Techniflo produce a range of membrane systems for particle filtration, micro filtration, ultra filtration and reverse osmosis
Many of the systems produced are ‘turnkey’ and can incorporate programmable logic controllers with touch screen interfaces and ‘BMS’ connections.
Systems include compact double pass reverse osmosis units for high purity water, Ultra filtration units for water recycling and recovery.
The phenomenon of reverse osmosis is the passage of a pure solvent into a solution separated from it by a semi-permeable membrane, a membrane permeable to the solvent but not to the solute. In the diagram shown, osmotic pressure is the pressure that must be applied to the solution to stop the influx of solvent. If we subject the solution to a high pressure exceeding the osmotic pressure of that solution, pure solvent would pass through the semi-permeable membrane back into solvent (pure water). This is reverse osmosis.
